In quality control in the semiconductors, medical, aerospace and consumer electronics sectors, it is often necessary to measure large quantities of repetitive micro-optical elements. This normally involves a great deal of manual effort. Measurement solutions developed by Solarius, which offer multiple sensor and motion control configurations, make it possible to measure different parameters for a variety of samples and sort the results by pass/fail criteria at a speed of 2 seconds per object.
To enable automation, it was necessary to customize the existing software to have the possibility to define measurement process with pass/fail criteria for different objects and store it within database. Then device operators can schedule measurement process using already defined structures based on what object they need to measure. After measurement is completed, the operator gets graphic result which object passed/failed with possibility to view details if needed.
